Blyth Valley Council and the Community
The Council aims to deliver three stategy themes to improve the well-being of members of the community.
1. to ensure residents are equipped with the skills and education to access future job opportunities.
2. to create a more entreprenurial culture and a diverse and successful business base.
3. to radically improve the environment and ensure world class public transport and broadband connections.
The Priority Areas
To provide all young people with the start in life that allows them to make choices.
To afford everyone the opportunity and capacity to attain basic skills in numeracy, literacy and information technology.
To facilitate a culture of "healthy living."
To create safe surroundings in which communities can take pride in.
To afford everyone in the borough with equality of access to the range of "joined up" services they require in meeting their needs.
